Will Smith has not officially joined Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi action film Raaka. Fresh speculation began after producer Sun Pictures described the film as a “global triumph” in a promotional update, but the company did not announce Smith or any other new cast member.
Some reports interpreted the wording as a hint that an international actor could join the project. Smith entered the discussion after earlier reports said the team had considered him for an important role. Neither Sun Pictures nor director Atlee has announced an agreement with the Hollywood actor.
What the makers have confirmed Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone lead the film under Atlee’s direction. Sun Pictures introduced the project with the working name AA22xA6 before unveiling the title Raaka in April 2026. The official Raaka page from Sun Pictures names Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone and Atlee among the principal people associated with the film. The current lineup does not include Will Smith.
The makers describe Raaka as a large-scale sci-fi action production with international ambitions. Their latest “global triumph” promotion has fuelled the casting discussion, but the phrase does not confirm Smith’s involvement.
